Educology Solutions is Hiring a Project Manager Near Washington, DC
ESI is seeking an experienced Project Manager, with a strong background in Red Hat to support work for our government customer.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with prioritization of Application workloads for onboarding and maintain a backlog of applications to containerize and move onto the OpenShift Container Platform.
- Responsible for mentoring application teams and assisting them in migrating to the customer Private cloud on the OpenShift Container Platform.
- Host workshops where they teach users how to upgrade/migrate using Red Hat components or tools.
- Aid applications with determining the best migration path: Retire, Retain, Rehost (‘lift and shift’) or Refactoring of their current code on the OpenShift Container Platform.
- Help applications with production support during scheduled production deployment “go-live”, container image updates and application maintenance weekends therefore the contractor must have experience in the development, support, and maintenance of Red Hat OpenShift Containers.
- Utilize Red Hat best practices to maintain and support the applications development, test, and production environments.
- Document these best practices and lessons learned as a reference point to guide the customer in technology insertion of the OpenShift Container Platform. At the conclusion of the period of performance / engagement, the Contractor(s) will be responsible for knowledge transfer, training, best practice facilitation, and support transition to customer staff.
Qualifications
- Experience in and/or provided any supplemental OpenShift training activities.
- Must be a Red Hat Learning Subscription (RHLS) partner, an authorized reseller of Red Hat products and services and extend those services to customer personnel utilizing Red Hat Innovation labs.
- BA in Computer Science.
- 7-10 years experience in Program/Project Management.
- PMP Strongly Preferred.
- MBI Clearance Required
